DIVINE HELP IS ASSURED

There was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven  and, going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it (Matthew 28:2, NIV).

When you are on a divine assignment, you can be sure divine help is available to you. Whenever God sends anyone on an errand, He backs him or her up with the weight of His power and glory.

Our text today relates to the glorious resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ. The Jewish authorities tried to ensure Jesus did not  rise from the dead as He predicted, they rolled a huge stone to cover the tomb and sealed it up. Pilate told them to ‘take guard, go, and make the tomb as secure as you know how.’ “So they went and made the tomb secure by putting a seal on the stone, and posting the guard” (Matthew 27:65-66, NIV). By so doing, they thought they could stop Jesus from coming out of the grave, and His disciples from getting into the grave.

But on the third day, when it was the appointed time that Jesus must rise, “there was a violent earthquake, for an angel of the Lord came down from heaven, and going to the tomb, rolled back the stone and sat on it” (Matthew 28:2). By divine intervention, all the efforts of Satan, demons, Pilate and the Jewish authorities planed to keep Christ in the grave was neutralised. Jesus rose triumphant. His disciples could enter the tomb to see His grave clothes. The stone that was to hold Him, and them, back had been rolled away by an angel from heaven. There is no wisdom no devise by men and demons that can stop God from doing whatever He wants to do.

There is no wisdom no understanding nor counsel against the LORD (Proverbs 21:30).

What is the task that God has given you to do? Yes, there may be oppositions, persecutions, false accusations and spiritual warfare against you, but you can be sure of one thing: If God be for you, no one can be against you.

Christ has assured us of His abiding presence in the task of global evangelism. He said:

Lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen (Matthew 28:20b).

Just make sure you are doing His will from your heart. Make sure you rely on Him with all your heart. Make sure you believe Him for His help. Make sure you seek Him as you pray wholeheartedly. There is nothing that Satan, demons, people, and the whole world combined can do to stop you. With Christ, you are unstoppable. Through His help you
are more than a conqueror.

Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him that loved us (Romans 8:37).
