THOSE WHO DIED IN THE LORD

And I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Write, Blessed are the dead which die in the Lord from henceforth: Yea, saith the Spirit, that they may rest from their labours; and their works do follow them (Revelation 14:13).

The Bible is very clear that those who died in Christ are blessed indeed (Revelation 14:13). They have ceased from their labours and have entered into their eternal rest (Rev.14:13).

They are in heaven, in the presence of Christ their Lord (2 Corinthians 5:5-9). They now enjoy a better life than they
had on earth (1 Cor. 15:40-49). Apostle Paul said that to depart from this earth and be with the Lord is “far better” (Phil. 1:23).

In their present estate they are free from suffering, sickness, pain or any trouble whatsoever. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away (Revelation 21:4).

According to the Bible, those who died in the Lord shall partake of the first resurrection (Rev. 20:6). The second death has no power over them again (Rev. 20:6).

They shall reign with Christ on earth. (Rev. 20:6). Believers really do not die. They sleep in the Lord, awaiting the morning of resurrection. If therefore someone close to you has fallen asleep do not sorrow like those who have no hope. Christ has given the hope of eternal life. He has said it clearly that “because I live, ye shall live also” (John
14:19). Rejoice, child of God. Death is swallowed up in victory.

O death, where is thy sting? O grave, where is thy victory? The sting of death is sin; and the strength of sin is the law. But thanks be to God, which giveth us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor.15:55-57).
