THE JUDGE OF ALL THE EARTH

Should not the Judge of all the earth do what is right? (Genesis 18:25b).

God Almighty is the Judge of all the earth (Genesis 18:25). He sees all things, including the secrets of all men (Luke 12:3). He knows the motive of every heart. There is nothing that anyone can hide from Him (Heb. 4: 13). And it is unto Him that every human shall return to give an account of their lives on earth (Romans 14:12).

This Judge of all the earth is righteous and just in all His ways (Psalms 145:17). He will give each person the exact judgment he or she deserves (Rev. 22: 12). And it is very clear in His word that, “the wages of sin is death” (Rom 6: 23). This Judge has fixed a day of judgment in which everyone will appear before His judgment seat, “for we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ” (2 Cor. 5:10). In that day, all who are not justified shall be cast into the lake of fire, which is eternal death (Rev. 20:15). However, because all have sinned and have come short of the glory of God, none can be justified before a holy God (Rom. 3:23).

God, not wanting the death of sinners but that all may be saved, sent His only Son who is altogether righteous, holy, and deserving of no judgment, to come into the world and bear the full penalty for the sin of the entire human race… including yours (Ezekiel 18:32; 1 Tim. 2:4-6; Rom. 8:3-4, 2 Cor. 5:21).

Jesus came into the world as sent by God the Father. He bore the full weight of the wrath of God due for all our sins, and died for us (1Cor. 15: 1-5; Heb. 2: 9). While He offered up Himself to God as the sacrifice for our sin son the cross of Calvary, He became a curse for us, making it possible for anyone who believes in Him, to become righteous before God (Gal. 3:13-14). After His death on the cross, He rose from the dead on the third day. He is alive forever to save all who believe in Him (Rev. 1:8).

Now, because of what Jesus did, nobody needs to die in his or her sin and go to suffer in hell forever anymore. No! Anyone who believes in Christ’s death and resurrection will be saved from sin and justi! ed before God (Rom. 10:9).

There is a beautiful angle to this redemption story. God Almighty has now committed all judgment to His Son Jesus, who died and rose again (John 5:22). He has appointed Him to be the judge of the living and the dead (Acts 17:30-31; 2 Tim. 4:1).

On the judgement day, Jesus will sit on the throne to judge. When anyone who believes in Him appears, all matters are settled in his or her favor… just because you believe. And you escape the judgment of God forever (1 Thess. 1:10).

Hurry today! Put your trust in Jesus Christ who bore the consequences of your sin, and you shall be saved forever.

Be it known unto you therefore, men and brethren, that through this man is preached unto you the forgiveness of sins: And by him all that believe are justified from all things, from which ye could not be justified by the law of Moses (Acts 13:38-39).
