A VAST CROWD IN HEAVEN

After this I heard the sound of a vast crowd in heaven shouting, Halleluyah! Salvation is from God Glory and power belongs to him alone (Revelation 19:1, NLT).

There shall be a great crowd in heaven. This crowd is made up of people who have been saved by the blood of the Lamb of God, people who have been washed from their sins through the blood of Jesus. They will sing the praises of God and enjoy the glory of His presence for ever (Rev. 7:13-17, Rev. 14:1-5).

All the other people, who were not saved, shall go to hell to burn forever (Rev. 20:15; Rev. 21:7-8; Matt. 25:41). There are two major concerns that you should have about this great crowd in heaven.

First, you should be determined to be amongst them. To be amongst the redeemed of the Lord who shall enjoy the glory of heaven forever should be your greatest desire, and quest. How can it be? Repent of your sins, and give your life to Christ.

He has already paid for the redemption of your soul. If you believe Him, you will be saved. If you receive Him into your heart you will become a true child of God. Then you will surely be amongst the redeemed in heaven, who are praising God forever.

But what saith it? The word is nigh thee, even in thy mouth, and in thy heart: that is, the word of faith, which we preach; That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth  unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation (Romans 10:8-10).

Secondly, having been redeemed by the blood of Christ, your greatest passion should be to lead as many people as possible to Christ, so that they too will be saved. You should desire to contribute to the number of people that shall be in heaven, singing God’s praises forever.

How? By witnessing to others about Christ, telling them how He saved you, and how they too can be saved. This is what Jesus told all who believe in Him to do. Read Mark 16:15-16. This is one major reason Jesus sent the Holy Spirit into this world, from the Father, that you may be empowered to witness for Him effectively and bring others to Salvation.

But ye shall receive power, after that the Holy Ghost is come upon you: and ye shall be witnesses unto me both in Jerusalem, and in all Judaea, and in Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth (Acts 1:8).

This is one major issue that will determine how much reward you will receive from Christ when you get to heaven.
And, behold, I come quickly; and my reward is with me, to give every man according as his work shall be (Revelation
22:12).

Therefore beloved, consider these two matters now that you have the time. Are you going to be amongst the great crowd in heaven praising the Lord and enjoying the glory of His presence forever? Or are you going to be amongst the crowd that will suffer and burn in hell forever?

Again, how will you lead others to come to know Christ that they may be in heaven for ever? They are all around you – at home, in your neighborhood, at work and in your community. Your word of witness for Jesus can change their lives. Start to do it effectively, today.

And others save with fear, pulling them out of the fire; hating even the garment spotted by the flesh (Jude 1:23).
