Know also that wisdom is sweet to your soul; if you find it, there is a future hope for you, and your hope will not be cut off (Prov. 24:14).
Wisdom is a gift from God. God gives it to all who sincerely seek Him for it. And when wisdom enters into you, it secures your future hope and success. The Bible says that in the affairs of our lives wisdom is a principal thing (Proverbs 4:7). If you have wisdom, you will succeed in life, though you are starting out with nothing else. This is because wisdom will make everything else you need to succeed to come to you. The Bible says wisdom is better than strength. This is because a wise man is strong, stronger than the strong (Eccl. 6:10).
The Bible also says that wisdom is better than weapons of war. This is because not only is your victory guaranteed with wisdom; it makes you more than a conqueror. The implication of all these is very simple. You need wisdom to succeed in life. Whatever challenge you have now is a question of wisdom. When wisdom shows up, solution will show out, therefore ask for wisdom. The beginning of Solomon’s success was when he went to Mount Gibeon to ask for wisdom from the Lord. He understood what it took to succeed – wisdom. He knew where to get it – from God. He pursued it until he got it. The world still celebrates Solomon today, three thousand years after his reign of wisdom. That is what happens when the wisdom of God rules your life. Your dimension of success make generations yet unborn to celebrate you. Therefore, ask for wisdom, and God will give it to you.
If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5).
