OUTSTANDING THROUGH WISDOM

And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding (Job 28:28)

The Bible is very clear that it is by wisdom that an individual will be distinguished in life. Real life experiences show this to be the truth. It is the wise that stands out amongst the rest. In the name of Jesus you will stand out. The wisdom of God will distinguish you.

From the word of God, we discover that wisdom makes the face of a man to shine. This is to say that wisdom will crown you with honour and remove you far from shame (Eccl.8:1).

The Bible says that it is by wisdom that a house is built. Those who build anything successfully operate in wisdom. The Bible says that it is by wisdom that a king reigns. Wisdom will certainly bring you into a position of honour, dominion and authority.

The Bible says that wisdom is better than strength, that wisdom is better than weapons of war (Eccl 9:16,18). This means even if you are strong and fully equipped for your assignment, if you are not equipped with wisdom, you will still fail. Whereas if the wisdom of God is with you, no matter what else you lack you will surely succeed
(Eccl 9:16).

Amongst the virtues and blessings that wisdom confers on a person are long life, riches, honour, pleasure and peace (Proverbs 3:13-17). These are the things that people all over the world are desperately looking for. The Bible says that wisdom will deliver them into your hand with ease. May the wisdom of God be your portion.

From time immemorial, till the present hour, people search for wisdom so desperately – going to school, obtaining degrees after degrees at great costs, reading books that are countless in their numbers and diverse in their subjects, attending seminars and workshops unend, travelling far and wide all in an attempt to become wise. At the end of the day we discover that doing all of these combined, has not made people really wiser, though more knowledgeable.

How then can you make this wisdom your possession so that you can operate by it day by day? The answer is very simple. And unto man he said, Behold, the fear of the Lord, that is wisdom; and to depart from evil is understanding (Job 28:28).

In order to make wisdom your possession:

1. First you must truly fear the Lord and walk in His commandments. This means you must learn from the word of God, who God is and ensure that you worship and reverence Him in truth.

2. You must depart from evil. You should sincerely search your heart and find out if there is any sin, injustice, uncleanness, and violation of
the word of God and truly repent of them and quit doing them, never looking back. You depart from evil and you don’t go back into it again.

3. You should find out what God says in His word and begin to do it. His word is His will, His word is His commandment. His word is His way.

You do not just learn His word only to know it, you learn it to do it. If you are committed to these outlined principles, the wisdom of God will manifest automatically in your life and you will prosper greatly. The ways of wisdom has been shown to you. It is now your duty to choose wisdom’s way.

If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him (James 1:5).
