YOU WILL NOT END UP AS A FAILURE

But in spite of this, the people kept sinning. Despite his wonders, they refused to trust him. So he ended their lives in failure, their years in terror (Psalm 78:32-33, NLT).

Anyone who continues to sin against God, refuses to listen to God’s
warning and turn to God in repentance will eventually end up a failure – in time and in eternity. This will not be your lot in Jesus’ name.

The people of Israel were chosen by God to be His people. He loved  them dearly and planned the best for them. But they were always rebellious, always disobedient. In spite of several warnings and passionate calls to repentance by the prophets God sent, they were always sinning – many of them.

You know what happened to them? The Bible says “So He ended their lives in failure and gave them years of terror.” Heart-wrenching, isn’t it? Because God was not pleased with them He caused them to wander  and die in the wilderness. That shall not be your lot, in Jesus’ name. I am sure you do not want to end like those Israelites did. What then should you do?

Repent truly of every and any known sin in your life. Sin is always the reason for divine judgement. And to God, every sin is horrible, every unrighteousness is disgusting. But He has made provision for the blood of Jesus that can purge you from every sin, so you can serve the true and living God (Hebrews 9:14). Decide to live a life of holiness and
righteousness, avoiding sin, walking in obedience and faith, pleasing God. This will make you to enjoy God’s place and your life shall be  blessed (Isaiah 1:19).

Begin to truly serve the Lord – in winning souls, in praying, in getting involved in the house of God, in giving and in doing all you can to be a blessing to someone else. You are blessed to be a blessing (Job 36:11).

Refuse to give room to the devil in any way in your life. Rather resist him and put him under your feet. The Bible says “resist the devil and he will flee from you” (James 4:7).

Finally, set your heart on the finishing line. Heaven is our ultimate goal in this race. There, Jesus has prepared a place for us. He has reserved indescribable glory for us – the glory that He has with His father. He
wants us to share in that glory and enjoy it for ever (John 17:21).

In whatever you do as a child of God, on a day-by-day basis, walk with Jesus. Be filled with the Holy Spirit, walk in holiness, serve the Lord and keep your eyes on our ultimate goal of heaven. It shall be well with you, and you will end gloriously.

Mark the perfect man, and behold the upright: for the end of that man
is peace (Psalm 37:37).
