BECAUSE OF JESUS

For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous (Romans 5:19).

When Adam sinned in the Garden of Eden, all men sinned, because all men were in his loins. He passed the gene of sin into every human and we became sinners. This is what Bible Scholars call The Original Sin. This is what David meant when he wrote: “Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me” (Psalm 51:5).

After we were born each one of us learnt the way of the world and started to commit and practice sin. It just came to all of us naturally. Therefore, every human on the face of the earth is a sinner by nature, and a sinner by practice. When Jesus Christ came into this world, He came as the Saviour of all mankind, the Lamb of God that took away the sin of the world. He came for one purpose: to redeem us from our sin and make us holy to our God. If He himself was disobedient to God at one point, then the mission would have failed and we all would be lost forever.

But He won! He was tempted at all point, like any human being on earth and was without sin. He was obedient to God at all point, even to the point of death. His complete obedience made His sacrificeacceptable. God then raised Him from the dead and made Him the Captain of our salvation. Anyone who believes Him is saved forever. Anyone who rejects Him is lost forever. Today, we have a Saviour, Jesus Christ of Nazareth the Son of the living God.

He is the Redeemer of all mankind from sin, from Satan, from death, from hell and from the awful judgment of God that shall come upon those who do not believe in Him. If you have believed and you are saved, congratulations! Spread this news to all mankind. That is what He told us to do. If you have not believed in Him, it is the right thing to do and you should do it today. By believing in Jesus who died and rose again for you, your sins shall be forgiven and you will receive God’s gift of eternal life.

And this is the record, that God hath given to us eternal life, and this life is in his Son. He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (1 John 5:11- 12).
