LET’S GO FOR THE NATIONS

All the nations — and you made each one — will come and bow down before you, Lord; they will praise your great and holy name (Psalm  86:9, NLT).

God has a plan to save and bless every nation of the world. This is because He made the nations, each one and He loves every one of them and the people therein. He wants all men to be saved and to come to the knowledge of the truth. This is why He sent Jesus Christ His only son to come to save all men of all nations: everyone who believes in Him shall be saved. (John 3:16).

After the death and resurrection of Jesus, He came to His disciples and gave them a command to go into all the world and make disciples of all nations, with a promise that whosoever believes Him shall be saved. This is in keeping with the covenant promise of God to Abraham that through his seed all the families of the earth shall be blessed.

According to the New Testament, Jesus Christ is that seed of Abraham by whom all families of the earth are blessed. To this agreed the prayer of the psalmist: God be merciful unto us, and bless us; and cause his face to shine upon us; That thy way may be known upon earth, thy saving health among all nations (Psalm 67:1-2).

I read that Psalm from the Living Bible in 1986 and it literally blew me to pieces and sent me to cry to God for hours. Read it with me.
O God, in mercy bless us; let your face beam with joy as you look down at us. Send us around the world with the news of your saving power and your eternal plan for all mankind (Psalm 67:1-2, TLB). Since the resurrection of Jesus, the main task of every living church of Christ is missions:

To take the glorious gospel of Jesus to peoples of all the world at whatever cost so that they may find salvation for their souls. Any believer that is involved in this is doing the will of God and shall be mightily blessed by God. Any church that is actively involved in this is doing the will of God and shall be mightily blessed by God. Jesus has saved us, and left us in this world, so that we may reach out and bring the peoples of all nations of the world to Him, beginning from our immediate neighbourhood.

Are you involved yet in this task that is primary in the heart of God? Are you praying for the lost to come to Christ? Are you giving, so that the gospel message of Christ may reach the whole world beginning from your community? Are you ready to go, in whatever capacity and labour to doing the will of God, to bring lost souls to Christ? It is your privilege, your honour, your duty. If you play your part faithfully you will be mightily blessed by God.

Do not procrastinate anymore. The time to start to pray is now. The day to start to give is today. The time to get involved is right now.
May you hear the voice of the Lord today.

Also I heard the voice of the Lord, saying, Whom shall I send, and who will go for us? Then said I, Here am I; send me (Isaiah 6:8).
