Bezalel made the ark of acacia wood- two and a half cubits long, a cubit and a half wide, and a cubit and a half high (Exodus 37:1).
Bezalel was the man God chose and anointed to build all that He instructed Moses to build in the wilderness- the
tabernacle, the table of showbread, the vessels of the sanctuary, the garments for Aaron and his sons, the Ark of the
covenant and all that he had to be done for the service of the Lord. He had so much to do (Exodus 31:1-11).
Having so much to do, bezalel, guided by the wisdom of God began with The Ark. It was the first thing he did.
The ark was the physical symbol of the presence of the Lord, the physical manifestation of His Shekina glory.
This is a clear message to all of us. No matter what you have to do, no matter how much work is involved, no matter
how complicated the task, make sure you start with the presence of the Lord (Genesis 17). Go to God’s presence. Seek His face. Pour out your heart before Him, and let Him know that you need His presence. Insist, like Moses, that unless His presence goes with you, you will not move one inch (Exodus 33:15). Do not leave the place of prayer until you are sure in your heart that the presence of the Lord is going with you. With His presence, you have the guarantee of a clear direction (Psalm 32:8), divine protection (Psalm 91:1-2), total victory over your adversary (Deut. 28:7), divine provision and abundance (Philippians 4:19), divine speed and progress in the
assignment (2 Sam. 5:10), good success and true ful lment (Joshua 1:3-8).
When the presence of the Lord is with you, you are guaranteed true rest, because everything shall be alright. And He said, My presence shall go with thee, and I will give thee rest (Exodus 33:14).
Whatever therefore is your task today, this week, this month, or this year, begin with the Ark of the Covenant. Start with the presence of the Lord, and your success is guaranteed. It is well with you.
How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him (Acts 10:38).
