HE OWNS EVERYTHING

This is what the LORD says: “heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool (Isaiah 66:1, NLT).

The Most High is the God of the Universe. He sits on His throne in heaven and puts His feet on the earth. This is a clear indication that He not only made the heaven and the earth, He controls it all. He is the owner of everything and He gives it to whosoever He wills. The Bible is very clear that “the earth is the Lord’s and the fullness thereof” (Psalm 24:1). Through Prophet Jeremiah, God said, “I have made the earth, the man and the beast that are upon the ground, by my great power and by my outstretched arm, and have given it to whom it seemed meet unto me” (Jeremiah 27:5). He owns everything.

The good news however is, it is His delight to give you your portion in the land of the living. It is His pleasure to bless you and make you wealthy. The Bible says that God has pleasure in the prosperity of His servants (Psalm 35:27). It gives Him great pleasure that you have more than enough, and that you overflow with His goodness, so that you can be a blessing to other people. Believing this with all your heart is a major step into wealth. God does not want you to struggle all through life; He wants you to enjoy abundant life on this earth. This is one of the reasons Jesus Christ came into this world – to liberate us from sin and its destructive consequences, and usher us into abundant life in God. He said,

The thief cometh not, but for to steal, and to kill, and to destroy: I am come that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly (John 10:10). How then can you enjoy this abundant life on earth? Firstly, you must believe the word of God that it is will that you prosper, and enjoy abundant life. Settle this deep in your heart.

Secondly, you must let Him lead you into wealth and abundance. He knows where your wealth is, and how it will come. Take your time to listen to Him, and follow His direction for your life. It will save you lots of fruitless labour.

Thirdly, you must be diligent. There is no substitute to hard work. The diligent will prosper, the slothful will suffer. Then, you must walk in wisdom. This wisdom is given by God to all who fear Him, and ask for it. Divine wisdom will lead you into wealth. Lastly, you must be thankful. For every blessing God gives you, gratitude should be your response. Part of your gratitude is your delight in giving back to Him part of what He has given you, as well as your eagerness to bless others out of what God has bestowed upon you. I believe your journey into wealth has begun. I believe you will follow God’s direction for your life and it will lead you into abundance. By the mercy of God, you will make it to the top.
